On Target.

When I was 18 I got a job as a cashier at Target. I was still Jewish and working in retail during the Holidays (that was for later on). Anyway, back then Target had a policy that any part time employee would get health insurance at the year and a half mark. So by the ripe old age of 20 I had my own health care coverage, just what a Jewish mother wants for her son. After 6 months of nagging from mom, I went and got the free yearly physical.

On the subject of doctors, I have unfortunately become an expert on the good, the bad, and the ugly. My primary care (PC) is Dr. Greyson. I will say, I have been blessed with more then good doctors starting with Greyson. He is a real genius (not like the movie), he's the type that will bring in the book with the condition to show you because he's that into medicine.

So I go get the physical and Greyson being who he is orders some labs that aren't normal for a physical, he's just covering all bases. At the time I was have a rash all over my legs that me and mom thought was due to an allergy to something and we were trying all kinds of different things to clear it up. The labs come back and he was a little surprised, so he orders them again. This ment another stick, I was not fond of needles at the time so I waited a few weeks to do this. The second set came in and he asked my to make an appointment so we could talk.

Here's a tip: If a doctor wants to talk, just like if your girlfriend of boyfriend wants to talk, it ain't good!!! (and for you English majors ain't is appropriate)

To be continued....

In the Beginning God Created... Me!

Every story has a beginning and this one starts when I was 16. Actually age 11. I was diagnosed with Scoliosis (thats when your spine curves). By age 16 it was bad enough that the doctors decided I need rods placed on my spine to straighten it. So I spent the better part of the summer on my back. The surgery went well and it did correct most of the problem, but after healing up, it didn't have much of an impact on my life. Or so I thought.

Welcome to My Life

What this blog is about is my life so far. I know, I'm only like one in a million doing this, but the real reason is to get my story down so if in the future I want to do something with it I can. Some of the post will be stories of my past to explain how I got here and some will have nothing to do with my story. My goal is that some insight can be gathered by me or those who read it. So enjoy!!
